DIGITALO Services created a feature-rich Divi WordPress website for the Samford & Districts Progress & Protection Association (SDPPA), bringing together its community advocacy work with The Village Pump, Samford’s much-loved local newspaper.
The Project
The website needed to serve several important roles: keeping the local community informed, supporting community advocacy, promoting events and activities, providing access to The Village Pump’s digital editions and making it easy for residents to get involved. It also needed the flexibility to grow as new community issues, campaigns and initiatives arise.
What We Did
- Divi WordPress website design and development
- Custom layouts and special tables for presenting detailed information
- Forms for memberships, grants, enquiries and community initiatives
- ISSUU integration for digital editions of The Village Pump
- Dedicated Village Pump content and digital newspaper sections
- Community news and articles
- Christmas on Main Street event page and annual updates
- Information about SDPPA activities, projects and community advocacy
- Clear ways for residents to get involved and have their say
- Responsive design and SEO configuration
Ongoing Website Support
DIGITALO Services continues to provide ongoing website editing and support for Samford Progress. This includes uploading the digital edition of The Village Pump every fortnight, creating and updating the Christmas on Main Street page each year, publishing community news and handling ad hoc website updates as new issues, campaigns, grant opportunities and community initiatives arise.
The Result
A flexible, constantly evolving community website that supports both the day-to-day work of Samford Progress and the important role of The Village Pump as a source of local news and information. It provides a central place for the community to stay informed, access resources, participate in initiatives and find out how they can get involved.

A note about our portfolio
Our portfolio showcases websites as they were designed and developed by DIGITALO Services, as well as ongoing website editing and support projects. Once a website is handed over, clients have full access to edit and manage their own content, so websites can change over time and the current live site may differ from the work originally completed by DIGITALO Services.
Some businesses and organisations featured in our portfolio may also have since closed, changed ownership, rebranded or moved to a different website, meaning the original website or project may no longer be online. Where possible, we retain examples of our work here to showcase the services we provided.
